The Tama Starclassic Maple is a gorgeous 3-piece shell set that consists of a 22-inch bass drum, a 12-inch tom and a 16-inch floor tom with maple shells. Maple produces a clear sound with a great attack, while it emphasises the low-end and evenly distributes the mids and highs. The bass drum shell has 8 plies, while the toms have 6 plies.

The Starclassic Maple Vintage Antique Maple has chrome hardware. The die-cast hoops ensure that your drums stay in tune, aided by the Hold Tight washers. These stainless steel cup washers come with rubber rings, that ensure constant contact between the tension rods and the hoop, preventing the tension rods from loosening and preserving the right tension. Furthermore, this gorgeous shells is equipped with a Star-Cast tom mounting system, which gives the shells maximum resonance and improved stability. The streamlined design of this tom mount also makes it easier to find the perfect position for your tom. The Tama MP32RZS-VAM Starclassic Maple comes with Evans drumheads.
Other hardware
The 'virgin bass drum' in this maple shell set comes with Starclassic Maple claw hooks. These hooks are fitted with a rubber lining, which essentially reduces the chance of them damaging the wooden hoops to zero. For an optimal tone and resonance, Tama chose to fit the bass drum with their Air Cushioned bass drum legs. These have a special air chamber, that prevents the sound and sustain of your bass drum disappearing into the ground, while also being shock absorbing.
