It's a floodlight, a blinder, a colour changer, a wash effect, theatre lighting - it's everything. The CLS-18 features no fewer than 18 Quad Colour LEDs, which produce an enormous light yield and even allow for creating pastel colours. From light pink to pale yellow, with the CLS-18, anything is possible.

A closer look at the CLS-18

CLS stands for Compact Light Source, which means this wash is a highly compact light effect. It features barn doors which neatly shape the light beam. This makes the wash perfect for use in theatres.

The CLS-18 features 18 Quad Colour Led modules of 8 watts each. Every QCL module is fitted with a red, green, blue, and white LED, which can all be blended. Because the diodes are placed closely together, and because of the honeycomb lens, perfect colour blending occurs at the source. Colour shadows are therefore a thing of the past.

Control

The best thing would be to use the CLS-18 in combination with other washes and control them via DMX, but that's not always possible. It's therefore fitted with a master/slave option, as well as a music-driven and an automatic mode.

If you do choose to control the wash via DMX, you have more options to chose from. For instance, you can determine whether you want to use 4, 6, 12, or 15 DMX channels.
