Kitted out with two mono microphone/line inputs, six stereo inputs and two outputs, the Audiophony MX82 mixer is able to back up an array of systems. Every input can be independently routed to one of the two zones or to both zones at the same time and, in terms of control, the first two outputs feature a dedicated two-band equalizer; channels 1 and 2 can be dialled in via bass, mid and treble frequency controls; and +15 Volt DC phantom power on microphone channels 1 and 2 can be toggled on and off to support condenser microphones as well as passive microphones. To support public announcement systems, the Audiophony MX82 also features a talk-over switch that, when pushed, ducks inputs 3 to 8 as soon as a signal is detected on inputs 1 or 2.
