The built-in condenser capsule of this superb kick drum mike spans the 20 to 20,000 Hertz frequency range, offering a completely flat response and a maximum sound pressure level of no less than 160dB. Made of metal and armed with a stout grille, the undaunted DPA 4055 microphone is practically fit to record a rocket launch and features an asymmetrical design to make sure the clip doesn't stick out past the tip of the mike, making it even easier to place it inside your bass drum.

Ha scritto quanto segue su DPA 4055 Bass Drum Condenser Microphone

't Kost wat, maar dan heb je ook wat!
Degelijke, mooi afgewerkte microfoon met een aluminium klem die zich echt goed vast laat zetten.
Deze micro klinkt echt fantastisch. Er zit geen 'EQ-standje' in maar de bassdrum wordt gewoon weergegeven zoals ie klinkt. Naturel met een erg strakke, mooie weergave van 't sublaag.
Je hoort meteen wanneer de micro anders gericht wordt, of wanneer die dieper of juist net buiten de bassdrum staat. Wanneer je een bepaalde sound zoekt laat ie zich makkelijk bewerken middels EQ of compressie. Ook combineeert ie mooi met een grensvlakmicro zoals bv de Sennheiser e901.
Blij met de aanschaf, maar 't kost wel wat...
