Guild F-2512E Maple chitarra elettroacustica a 12 corde

I decided to take a gamble on this Guild F-2512E as Guild make some fabulous guitars and it was such a great price...and because Bax have such a brilliant returns policy. I did wonder how on earth they could put together an excellent 12-string at this price point (£410 inc a Black Friday voucher)

Cosmetically, the guitar had a very dark stripe right down the centre of the top. It looked like Guild had rescued a pallet from a bonfire and glued it back together before sanding it down and then smuggling it through Quality Control during their lunch break. I honestly don't think it should have left the factory like that, despite being a budget guitar.

The action was pretty good, overall...perfectly playable, with a little buzzing here and there...but the guitar was brand new, so hadn't had time for the wood to settle down...and I didn't make any adjustments, fearing I'd need to send it back due to the disappointing cosmetic issue.

In fairness to Guild, I need to up my budget in order to meet my expectations.

I contacted Bax, who were excellent, as they always have been, over the years. They gave me a returns slip which I printed off and I repackaged the guitar exactly as I'd received it (the packaging was very well done) and sent it off back to them.

My payment was refunded promptly and my search continues.

Distance buying of guitars is always a bit of a lottery...so you really need to buy from somewhere you can rely on.

Overall, I rate it at four stars...three stars for the guitar and five stars for Bax.

Wat een heerlijke 12 snarige gitaar deze Guild F-215E ! Alleen al de prijs kwaliteit verhouding is top! En uit de doos meteen speelklaar; waar vind je dat nog. Bax gunde me on the spot alle service en tijd in Apeldoorn om in de toffe studio deze Guild F-215E rustig uit te proberen. Klinkt zowel versterkt als on-versterkt als een klok. De tuners kunnen wel wat soepeler maar alleen deze kniesoor die daar op let. Veel 12 snarige gitaren in de hand gehad maar deze springt er echt uit.

Verschillende gitaren uit dezelfde prijsklasse geprobeerd, maar deze springt eruit. Niet alleen een mooi ding om te zien, maar qua bediening heel makkelijk en met een prachtig vol en gedetailleerd geluid in zowel de hoge als lage regionen. Top aankoop!

Ik heb even wat geduld moeten hebben voordat de gitaar in huis was, want tijdelijk niet op voorraad. Maar mijn geduld werd beloond!
Guild is uiteraard een prima gitaarmerk en dat ervaar je ook als je de gitaar uitpakt: Uit de doos is de gitaar al direct goed afgesteld en aardig op toon. Dus nog even goed stemmen (2x zo veel werk als normaal ;-)) en dan begint de pret.
De klankkleur is wat je van een gitaar van deze prijsklasse mag verwachten; wat een genot om erop te spelen en wat zingt zo'n 12-snarige gitaar prachtig!
Klein minpuntje zijn dat wat stroeve stemmechanieken, waardoor je soms ineens een sprong maakt bij het stemmen. Maar goed, dat is makkelijk te verhelpen en heel goed mee te leven.

Kortom, heel tevreden met deze prachtige gitaar!

J'ai commandé la GUILD F2512E le mercredi 05/02 à 17h, elle est arrivée le vendredi 07/02 à 13h, bien emballée dans ses deux cartons. Bravo, 5 étoiles pour la livraison!

Après quelques instants pour qu'elle prenne la température de la maison, je l'accorde - c'est long, avec 12 mécaniques à tourner...- et c'est le bonheur!!! la sonorité est magnifique , ample et profonde. Cool pour jouer mes morceaux préférés des sixties / seventies! 5 étoiles pour la guitare!

Par contre, grosse déception: La housse GUILD annoncée dans le descriptif (informations + caractéristiques)est absente, bien que sa présence m'ait été confirmée par le correspondant de BAX Music au téléphone. Finalement, alors que pour 529€, je pensais avoir la housse GUILD incluse, il s'avère que j'ai payé cette très belle et bonne guitare 30€ de plus que sur les sites concurrents. Pas certain que je commande à nouveau chez Bax music.... 0 étoile!
