Descrizione

While 'a snare drum on floortom legs' sounds like a daring but failed experiment, nothing could be further from the truth considering the fact that Tama has enjoyed great success with the introduction of the 'duo snare'. One measuring 14 x 10" comes included in this Superstar Hyperdrive shell set, along with a 20 x 16" bass drum, 12 x 7" tom and 16 x 14" floortom.

The Tama ML40HBN2+H-SGV Superstar HD Duo Snare SGV 4-Piece Shell Set

All of the shells in this set are made of maple and have been coated in a Satin Burgundy Vertical Stripe finish. The toms and the duo snare shells consist of six plies of maple and are 5 mm thick, while the kick drum has been crafted using eight plies and measures 7 mm in thickness. The 12" rack tom can be simply suspended from a cymbal stand via the Star-Cast Mounting System and a Tama MC69 tom holder, and each of the shells are fitted with Sound Bridge High-Tension lugs, die-cast hoops, Power Craft II drum heads (except for the duo-snare) and black nickel-plated hardware.

Duo Snare Drum

The 14 x 10" Duo Snare is obviously the eye catcher of the bunch and can be used in multiple ways due to its shell depth: either as a 14" floor tom with the snare wires off, or as a 'main' snare with the snare wires on. All of the required hardware for both configurations comes included in the Tama HB5W Iron Cobra 200 pack, which is composed of two cymbal stands with arm, a snare drum stand, a hi-hat stand and a single Iron Cobra bass drum pedal.

  • Please note: This shell set does not include any cymbals, drum throne or 'regular' snare drums. Included are the 4-piece shell set and the hardware pack consisting of two cymbal stands, a snare drum stand, a hi-hat stand and a single kick drum pedal and rack tom holder (legs included).
