Descrizione

Il Fender Mustang Bass è uno dei bassi a scala corta più amati al mondo. Motivo sufficiente per la casa madre Squier per presentare questo basso elettrico Classic Vibe Series, ispirato agli anni '60, dal prezzo contenuto. In grado di soddisfare le esigenze di ogni bassista, questo modello offset non è adatto solo ai bassisti alle prime armi con una postura ridotta. Anche i bassisti più esperti che cercano un ottimo basso a scala corta da affiancare troveranno in questo basso compatto una grande gioia di suonare, grazie al manico con profilo a C, al raggio di curvatura piatto e ai tasti alti e stretti. Collegatelo all'amplificatore, ruotate i potenziometri in posizione e preparatevi a scatenare il classico pickup Fender Split-Coil. Preferite un tono un po' più vintage o extra-morbido? Basta sostituire le corde con un pacchetto di flatwound o tapewound!

Ha scritto quanto segue su Squier Classic Vibe 60s Mustang Bass Olympic White

Ik heb recentelijk deze Squier Classic Vibe 60s Mustang Bass aangeschaft bij Bax Music. Ik heb al een Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision in dezelfde kleurencombinatie en zocht nog een short scale bas. Ik vind deze kleurencombinatie gewoon het mooist. Ik heb vele reviews en filmpjes bekeken en kwam al snel tot de conclusie dat het deze short scale moest worden. De levering bij Bax was weer razendsnel. Binnen één dag stond de bezorger al op de stoep.

Out of the box was de Mustang netjes afgesteld. Ik heb alleen de hals iets rechter gezet en actie wat lager, maar dat is omdat ik een zachte aanslag heb. De Mustang weegt maar 3 kg, de pup geeft een lekker diepe ronk als de tonepot helemaal dicht staat. Zet je hem open dan wordt het sprankelender en feller. Het is maar wat je mooi vindt. Ik had verwacht dat de E-snaar wat zou 'flubberen'. Die ervaring heb ik gehad met een oude Fender Musicmaster, maar dat is bij deze Mustang zeker niet het geval.

Al met al ben ik erg tevreden over deze Mustang bas. Voor het geld krijg je een netjes afgewerkte basgitaar met een fraaie en goed in de hand liggende hals, een prima klinkende pup, degelijke hardware en een zeer fraai uiterlijk. Ik ben er blij mee.

Aangezien de bas maar sporadisch de deur uit zal gaan omdat ik niet meer in een band speel, zocht ik een eenvoudige gigbag. Ik heb daarom bij Bax Music een 'Fazley Carrier B3BB Basic gigbag voor 3/4 elektrische basgitaar' meebesteld. De Mustang past er perfect in. Het was een gokje maar voor het geld is het een prima gigbag.

Took delivery of this just a couple of days ago, and am loving it. Out of the box, the action was a bit high, and the truss rod needed tweaking (too much neck relief) but after setting up and giving the frets a polish (a bit dull from storage?) it plays as good as it looks. The Olympic White finish is just the perfect creamy white. The split pickup registers a nice pokey 7k ohms and I have been pleasantly surprised at the range of tones available - turning the tone all the way down gives a nice 60's flatwound type tone, bassy but not wooly. Turned up there is plenty of brightness and a little bit of P-Bass growl. Yes, you can even slap it! Ideal if like me you have small hands and find full 34" scale a pain (literally). Finishing is pretty faultless.
