The top is made of solid spruce, while the sides and back are made of top-quality solid mahogany. The result is a pineapple ukulele that feels strong and has excellent sound. It is luxuriously finished with ovangkol bindings and abalone purfling. The Ohana PKC-70G comes with Aquila strings as standard.

The Hawaiian name for a ukulele roughly translates as 'jumping flea'! It's not exactly the most flattering name for a small stringed instrument that is great fun to play. The ukulele is based on the Portuguese machete that was brought to the Hawaiian islands by immigrants in the early 20th century where it became the ukulele we know and love today.
