The Hughes & Kettner Black Spirit 200 Floor combines an unbelievably versatile guitar amp with the matching level of functionality offered by the FSM-432 MK III MIDI Board. In other, very simple words, you're getting the power of a fully programmable 200 Watt guitar amplifier with all the inputs and outputs you would ever need, in a housing that fits comfortably on a pedalboard. While the Black Spirit 200 has no problems taking on a large stage, the power can be dialled all the way down to 20 or even 2 Watts for living room rehearsals. The ghost, or Spirit, in this machine is shaped by the 'bionic' tone generating technology; a fully analogue circuit that delivers precisely the same dynamic response as a real tube-driven amplifier!

The Black Spirit 200 Floor: The Many, Many Sound Variations

The four channels (Clean, Crunch, Lead and Ultra) give you access to every guitar sound that has ever been made popular throughout the last 60 years. To find your own particular sweet spot, a boost and noise-gate have been included alongside a broad range of built-in effects like delay, reverb and endlessly tweak-worthy modulation effects, while every parameter (with the exception of the master volume) can be set and saved as one of 128 presets. To finish, your own favourite effects pedals can be integrated via the serial FX-loop.

Connections

The integrated Red Box AE+ allows for direct connection to a mixer, PA or audio interface for pure guitar-sound without the mess of microphones. For an amplified sound, choose from eight speaker simulations including anything from a floor-shaking 2x 12" to a tight 1x 12" cab and give your sound even more shape and depth. The XLR monitor input is a welcome addition that allows you to balance levels between the monitor and amplifier without the need for an external mixer. Meanwhile, over in Direct 7 mode, you can assign a preset to one of the seven fitted footswitches for quick changes and no endless scrolling through preset banks.
