The Peavey MiniMega is a commanding yet compact little bass amp top that weighs just 3.6kg and has a full and rich voice, all designed to be a worthy playmate for the touring bassist. Its continuous power capacity hits an eye-watering 1,000 Watts and its tone controls accommodate round warmth, bright slapping or potent and brutal bass.

Dialing in the MiniMega

The comprehensive controls of the MiniMega gives you complete power over your tone. A four-band EQ, parametric mid-range with Lo-Mid and Hi-Mid pots to determine the band-width, or Q-factor, of the mid frequencies. The unique, stacked KOSMOS enhancer pot has an inner-ring that takes care of fuller bass by adding a thick sub-layer without pushing your cabinet too hard, while the upper-ring gives the overall sound more impact. The Delorian-dashboard style of the MiniMega control panel is finished with a one-knob compressor and a set of crunch, punch and bright switches to manage the colour of your bass sound.

Outputs

Despite the uber-compact form, the MiniMega is fitted with an array of outputs. It gives you a standard jack and lockable speaker output to connect a bass cabinet; outputs for set of headphones, a tuning pedal, FX-loop, MIDI footswitch as well as XLR and TRS-jack DI outputs that can be switched from pre to post EQ as preferred. Once your perfect tone is dialed in, you can even customise the colour of the front panel back-lighting.
