Goede DAW. Lage prijs. Andere plugins werken heel goed. Ik ben gitarist dus ik vind Ampire heel goed.

Altijd alleen maar software problemen oplossen als ik aan mijn muziek wilde werken. Daar ligt mijn passie niet. Ik begon met een Presonus 26c interface met studio one 4. Die werd geupgrade tot 5, daar begon alle tegenwerking. De updates zorgde dat mijn laptop dit niet meer gehandeld kreeg. Van laptop geruild met meer werkgeheugen. Een sphere abonnement genomen. Liep ook weer vast. Een laptop gekocht met 16Gb werk geheugen 960 Gb geheugen SSD core i 7 processor, dus dat moest wel voldoende zijn. Meteen studio 6 Artist erbij gekocht. Artist is zo uitgekleed ten op zichten van een sphere abonnement. Je kunt de instelling beperkt veranderen. Je kunt de bits niet verkleinen tijdens de opname en daarna vergroten tijdens het masteren. Er zit een gigantische storing in de opname. Nu kan het systeem de opgenomen bestanden niet terug vinden. Uren werk verloren. Want als de back up verloren gaat, heb je er nog niets aan. Je zou het allemaal nog eens extern moeten opslaan, vraag is of het systeem de bestanden herkent. Dus eigenlijk moet je minimaal professional aanschaffen en nooit moeten upgraden, anders loop je het risico dat je laptop het begeeft, of je bestanden vastlopen. Het studio one programma is gefocust op een consumptie maatschappij. Je moet blijven kopen. Je wordt lekker gemaakt met een simpel programma wat maar half werkt, dan moet je upgraden. En als je pech hebt, moet je om de zoveel tijd nieuwe hardware aanschaffen als je aan het update circus meedoet.

Ik had al eerder met de trial versie van Studio One gewerkt en dat beviel prima. Pluggins van andere fabrikanten werken uitstekend binnen Studio One, dus eerdere aankopen daarvan zijn gewoon te gebruiken.
De webshop van Presonus is nogal is nogal nukkig, dus dan maar naar de vertrouwde Bax-shop. Bleek de software ook nog goedkoper te zijn en een snelle levering, zoals meestal. Kortom een top aankoop.

Veel pluggins, 3 compressors en veel effecten.
Jammer dat er maar 1 EQ in zit.
