All while using a brilliantly smart and intuitive interface and simple drag-and-drop workflow.

What's New with Studio One 5 Professional?

New to Studio One 5 is the Show Page view, provided for the stage, this view can run your backing tracks or samples, load instrument plug-ins, and entire effect racks. Meanwhile, the Score Page integrates all the facets and functionality of Presonus Notion, bringing production together with notation-based composition in one software pack. Another fresh feature is the integration with Melodyne Essential 5, with improved vocal editing tools, chord detection, and a detailed grid. Add the new AUX channels, independent buses and MTC/MMC MIDI time code for hardware, and Studio One 5 already establishes itself as the most extensive DAW you're likely to come across right now.

But There's More!

Besides a fistful of new stuff, there's also been some extensive tweaking of the more familiar included plug-ins. Of course, Mai Tai, Mojito, Impact XT, SampleOne XT, and Presence XT (with 14GB of sounds) have all been included, but a lot of the effects have undergone some improvements. The Analog Delay, Rotor, and Tricomp plug-ins now all come with an added Drive Stage that's been modelled on the State Space and gives the sound a little warm and fuzzy saturation to remove any hint of cold digitalisation. Another new feature of version 5 is a set of incredibly useful Clip Gain Envelopes, that can be used to reduce or raise the gain of one isolated section of a single track.
