The AKG WMS420 Instrumental Set is a durable wireless beltpack system that is very easy to set up. The system consists of an SR420 receiver, a PT420 beltpack and an MKG L guitar cable. Thanks to the wide frequency range of 40 to 20,000 Hz, the set is also well suited for use with low-frequency instruments, like bass guitars. The WMS420 Instrumental Set is available for multiple frequencies, this version communicates via band A, which runs from 530 to 560 MHz. Within this frequency band, the system is divided up in eight pre-programmed channels.

WMS420 Instrumental Set: easy to use

It won't take you long to set up the WMS420 Instrumental Set. Once it is powered, the best channel is automatically selected for you, to ensures interference-free and solid signal transfers. The active channel can be read from your beltpack or receiver via a clear display. Indicators for battery status, signal transfer and possible overloading of the signal, are also present. The output volume can be adjusted via volume controls on the receiver.

Batteries and microphones

The compact PT420 beltpack transmitter requires only one AA battery in order to work. It delivers enough power for eight hours. This is more than enough for a gig or rehearsal. The transmitter is equipped with a mini XLR connector, which makes the beltpack suited for use with all MicroMics by AKG.
