The Polyend Dreadbox Medusa is an unusual, experimental synthesizer. At first glance, it looks like a simple synth with a pad controller designed for beatmakers, but it's far from simple!

Features of the Polyend Dreadbox Medusa

This is a fully-fledged synthesizer that boasts three oscillatoren with classic analogue and digital waveforms. There are five envelopes (amp, filter and three are assignable) as well as five assignable LFOs. In terms assigning, the term is broad, as you can control just about anything with the Medusa. There is a noise oscillator, FM, sync, audio input, and a filter that offers a choice between 12 dB lowpass, 24 dB lowpass and highpass.

The Matrix

The most remarkable thing about the Medusa is the pad controller, which is essentially a matrix of 64 expressive pads. They have multiple functionality so you can play notes, chords (split oscillators), sequencer, and influence the synthesis parameters.
