This QSC AD-S4T set consists of 4 AD-S4T speakers, GXD4 and GXD8 amplifiers and an AD-S112SW subwoofer.

Acoustic Design

The Acoustic Design range by QSC is known for being easy to install and user-friendly. The speakers have an IP54 rating, which means they are dust and splash-resistant and can therefore be used outdoors. As well as their impressive audio reproduction, they are also appealing to look at with a minimalistic design and smooth, rounded edges.

Amplifiers

QSC' GXD8 and GXD4 amplifiers are designed specifically to create as much headroom as possible to optimise your sound system. There is an LCD display on the front panel that shows all the necessary information. All settings can be found and adjusted here as well, including high-pass filter, low-pass filter, 4-band EQ, limiter and delay. An additional laptop is not required! Finally, the QSC AD-S112SW 12-inch sub is a perfect companion to the four AD-S4T speakers, adding the finishing touch to an optimal sound set at an affordable price!

Omdat ik zeer blij ben met de prestaties van m'n QSC PowerLight 3 reeks versterkers had ik besloten deze erbij te halen als extra voor monitors of lichte toppen. Wat een tegenvaller, veel ruis, vermogenlimiters zijn voor beide kanalen samen en kunnen niet apart (waardeloos voor BI-amping dus) en klonk niet denderend. Als kers op de taart stuurde mijn toestel ook om de anderhalve minuut een DC puls uit naar de speakers wanneer hij uitgeschakeld is. Ik heb dit met een oscilloscoop gemeten en bekeken, het zag er niet gezond uit voor crossovers en tweeters.

Het gewicht en compacte formaat is wel zalig als je de QSC PowerLights (classe H, veel metaal aan koelvin vanbinnen) en Crown Macrotechs (oerdegelijk maar loodzware transfo) gewoon bent.

Zeer spijtig want QSC hun oudere producten (made in the USA) doen het hier fantastisch.
1 maal getest en erna terug ingepakt en retour gestuurd. Ik hoop dat er een defect aan was, anders zijn er veel goedkopere alternatieven met gelijkaardige performance en DSP (zoals behringer NX reeks) die niet proberen je speakers op te blazen door er DC pulsen door te jagen wanneer ze uit staan.

Wat een degelijke versterker!
Zeer licht in gewicht en dan toch zat vermogen, heel blij mee en de DSP werkt ook zeer fijn en duidelijk.
Scheelt enorm veel sjouw werk.
Dankzij de goede limiters ook heerlijk te gebruiken als floor monitorversterker.

Toen de doos aankwam had ik haast idee dat ze de versterker vergeten waren... de doos was zo licht... dat kon niet.... TOCH WEL! Wat een mooi apparaat. Mooi, helder, duidelijk display. Veel instellingen voor DSP mooi geluid.... zeker geen spijt dat ik voor deze ben gegaan ipv een 2e crown XTI

for the price, usually around £650, you get 1200 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The build quality seems very good, the performance is excellent, and they'll happily drive a single E18SW (800W rms) per channel to high output levels. I have now used these for a number of events in the last couple of years and they have performed flawlessly. The built in DSP is very capable, and useful if you have more than one type of speaker in use. Being switch-mode, they're light, which is nice when you have seven of them in a flightcase. They seem to be built to a slightly better standard than the GXD4 - one of which I've had fail.



The only negative thing I can think of is that they lack air filters behind the grilles so after a summer of events they become quite dusty inside. Routine maintenance should include taking the lids off and cleaning them every so often.

Wat een geweldig apparaat. Geruisloos , helder en superlicht! Als vervanger van palladium aangeschaft. Toch 4 sterren maar dat is omdat ik niet tevreden was over levering. De QSC krijgt 5 sterren!

Cet ampli est excellent. Je cherchais un ampli silencieux car 95% du temps, j’écoute à très faible niveau, ici on entend pas le ventilateur. Je cherchais un ampli qui pouvait mémoriser les réglages différents pour mes trois paires d’enceintes que j’utilise et change régulièrement, ici on a jusqu’a 20 preset. Enfin, je cherchais un ampli actuel avec un rendement maximum et une excellente qualité de son, ici il répond à 100%.

Si vous chercher un ampli dans cette gamme de puissance, pour faire de la sono, du studio ou même de la hifi, ce modèle devrait vous donner satisfaction.

Rapport qualité / prix = top !
