This 14 x 5.5-inch Tama PPS55-PTS snare drum is part of the Starclassic Performer Birch Bubinga series and produces a powerful sound with warm lows. That sound mostly stems from the combination of four plies of birch and three inner plies of the African wood type bubinga. Besides producing a fantastic sound, this Platinum Sparkle snare is also very easy on the eyes, making it the perfect addition to a Starclassic Performer shell set in the same finish!

General characteristics

The Tama Starclassic Performer PPS55-CHS snare drum features chrome shell hardware and comes with Evans drumheads and 20-strand snare wires. Finally, the die-cast hoops guarantee that the tension on the drumheads remains consistent, for easier tuning. This truly is another top-quality product, which is exactly what we'd expect from Tama.
