This band-pass subwoofer has an 18-inch woofer and offers that extra something for sub lows. It produces a frequency that goes as low as 40 Hz, ensuring that you won't only hear the bass, but you'll feel it too. Even so, the sound still stays tight, making this subwoofer a worthy addition to your PA system - especially when paired with 12 or 15-inch satellites from the 7 series.

Furthermore, the band-pass construction makes countless applications possible. When it comes to designing speakers, a bass-reflex cabinet performs best when it's near a subwoofer, whereas a horn-loaded cabinet performs best at a reasonable distance. RCF chose the middle ground, so this band-pass construction offers a nice bass on the dance floor, but isn't emphatically present at long distances, making it great for times when not everyone's on the dance floor.

A 700W digital amp module feeds the 18-inch woofer with the necessary power, which is then turned into a sound pressure of no less than 132 dB SPL! This level of power, which you won't normally find in a subwoofer of this size - is possible in part due to the 4-inch voice coil. The dimensions have been kept compact for ease of transport, but you can still be sure of getting a whole lot of sound. Moreover, with the crossover selector, phase switch and a volume knob, you can adjust the sound to get just the right timbre. The necessary protection is also available in the form of a soft limiter and protection. Via high-pass outputs, everything that isn't a subwoofer signal is sent on to the satellites! That means you don't need any crossovers or extra cables for a quality sound!
