Ibanez Iron Label RGIT27FE-SBF: several wood types
In order to produce a very powerful sound, the body is made of ash wood. The neck consists of a seven-layer combination of maple and walnut to get a very balanced sound. Plus, it's very appealing to see the different wood types through the lacquer. The fretboard on the neck is made of ebony, a wood type that is known for its easy-to-play quality. That playability is even further enhanced by the neck-through construction so that you can easily play the strings higher up on the neck.
Hardware
Of course, an electric guitar needs electronics to properly function. As such, the RGIT27FE-SBF is fitted with two EMG humbuckers: an EMG 60 at the neck and an EMG 81 in the bridge position. By means of a five-way switch you can alter the sound to your liking. With the kill switch you can also switch the pickups on and off. The machine heads are of the Magnum Lock type and make sure that the guitar remains perfectly tuned, even when you go wild.
