This beautiful S-0514-MPL 14 x 5 maple snare drum by Gretsch features a shell made of 10-ply maple, a wood type that allows for optimal resonance, and has a diameter of 14 inches and a depth of 5 inches. The wood type and dimensions combine to provide the snare drum with a clear tone and great sustain.

Adjustable throw-off system and Evans drumheads

This Gretsch snare drum is equipped with an adjustable throw-off system for its snare wires, which enables you to adjust the sound from sharp to dull with one simple movement. The snare drum is supplied with single-ply Evans drumheads: a rough white batter head and a transparent resonant head.

Die-cast hoops for a classic look

The die-cast hoops of the S-0514-MPL 14 x 5 can withstand prolonged tension and, in combination with the 10 lugs, enable you to tune your snare drum to perfection in an easy and controlled fashion.
