The Fender Vintage White AST-M/SSH Aerodyne Strat was initially only made for the Japanese market but it is now available as a Limited Edition model. This isn't a standard Stratocaster, as it is about 3% smaller and features a marvellous curved top. Thanks to this curvature and the shorter neck, it is remarkably easy and comfortable to play. Besides, it looks elegantly slender and streamlined. Experience Japanese quality and durability for yourself.

Fender AST-M/SSH Aerodyne Strat: features

This Strat has a basswood body, which is light of weight and produces a tight, balanced tone. Maple is used for the neck, which is equipped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and bolted on to the body with its bevelled heel, providing more comfort while playing high up the neck. The body of the AST-M/SSH VWH has the same classic, cream-white lacquer as its headstock and which is beautifully contrasted by chic black body bindings.

Hardware and electronics

The black pickguard of the Fender AST-M/SSH is home to two Japanese single-coil pickups and a Dragster humbucker. A master volume, two tone controls and a 5-way pickup switch let you create several authentic Stratocaster sounds. The bridge on this guitar is a vintage-style tremolo with a massive block for extra sustain and its headstock features high-quality Gotoh SD91 machine heads for smooth tuning and excellent tuning stability.
