This electro-acoustic folk western guitar combines the looks and specifications of the Fender Redondo with the body size of the Fender Malibu SCE. The result is a surprisingly affordable Fender Malibu CE Mustang Factory Special Run (FSR). FSR basically means this is a limited edition, which goes with the commemorative nature of this 50th-anniversary guitar. The Fender CE Malibu Mustang has a compact dreadnought-style body and a comfortable Stratocaster-type neck. The Malibu CE is part of Fender's California series and has that characteristic '60s surf look. This guitar has a cutaway, that makes it easier to reach the highest frets, as well as a built-in Fishman pickup system.

The small-dreadnought body of the Fender FSR Malibu CE Mustang is made of laminated mahogany with a laminated spruce top. The Malibu CE has a maple neck, just like a Stratocaster, and a 20-fret rosewood fretboard. This combination of wood types guarantees a rich sound with punchy trebles! The neck of the Fender Malibu CE has a comfortable C-profile that gives it almost the same feel as an electric guitar. Additionally, it features a factory-mounted second strap button on the side of the body, above the neck, allowing you to play standing up.

Finish and Fishman Electronics

The Fender FSR Malibu CE Mustang has a white pearloid pickguard, Fender's vintage-style Viking bridge and its sound hole is decorated with a beautiful chequered rosette. To improve tone and tuning stability, the string nut and bridge saddle are made of Graphtech NuBone. The FSR Malibu CE Mustang's Fishman Isys III pickup system comprises an active preamp with volume control and 3-band equalizer to create that perfect sound. Finally, the guitar's practical built-in chromatic tuner helps you to keep it tuned perfectly.
