Fender's Special Run series' instruments are based on standard models, equipped with something extra. In this case, the FSR Hot Rod Strat HH is a boosted version of the legendary Stratocaster. Fender took a standard Mexican Strat and armed it with two DiMarzio humbuckers and a tough matte lacquer. This is the version with a rosewood fretboard and a Flat Hot Rod Red finish that comes with a gig bag. Only two are available!

Features of the Fender FSR Hot Rod Strat HH

Beneath the matte red lacquer lurks a rich and balanced-sounding alder body. The neck is made of maple and has a rosewood fretboard that features a modern 9.5-inch radius for effortless, extra-high bends. The 22 medium jumbo frets ensure that your fingers won't touch the fretboard and that bending is smooth and trouble-free. Additionally, the Fender FSR Hot Rod Strat HH was fitted with a vintage-style tremolo bridge and a set of smooth but solid sealed self-lubricating machine heads.

DiMarzio HH pickup configuration

This FSR Strat is equipped with two cream-coloured DiMarzio humbucker pickups. In the bridge position there's the powerful DP100 Distortion for heavy playing and at the neck we find the vintage-oriented DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary pickup for sweet, creamy, classic humbucker sounds. The guitar's three-position pickup switch allows you to alternate between the two pickups or a combination of both. Also, it features one volume and two separate tone controls.
