Since its introduction, Focusrite's Red series of preamplifiers has had a big fan base. It makes sense, because Red series fans value having an "own studio" sound, expansive options and a broad dynamic range. The new Red1 500 series has built upon that great reputation, and features a convenient lunchbox format design, for mounting in an API lunchbox rack system.

This red preamplifier is equipped with high-grade components; the Lundahl input delivers depth and warmth, and the Carnhill output transformer offers a strong outgoing signal that can easily handle long cables. Another great feature is the solid Grayhill gain control for precise level control. The compact housing makes the RED1 500 very well suited for mobile setups and studio use alike, and because the Focusrite RED1 was designed and manufactured in England, you can expect excellent quality. The RED1 500 series equips you with the Focusrite signature sound, and thanks to the lunchbox format, this red preamp is easy to use anywhere.
