Front panel features
There are various controls on the front panel that introduce new ways of operating your monitor. As well as inputs amplification, there are also level controls for each of the four drivers and shelving filters for both ends of the entire frequency range. There are three complete parametric equalizers (20 - 200 Hz) for conquering vertical waves. The equalizers can be bypassed individually or as a group, and the total effect can be analysed in direct comparison to the non-influenced signal.
In large mixing rooms for film, it's often desirable to have an exact copy of the sound in the movie theatre, ensuring the best possible result. In order to meet the ISO 2969 standard, you can apply the Dolby X curve. With pink noise, the X-curve tackles 3 dB per octave roll-off above the 2 kHz. The S6X has a switch to activate this filter, so you don't need to use extra processors during the mix. A second switch is an input on the front that's suitable for connecting extra equipment. For full customisation possibilities, the LED indicators can even be dimmed separately.
