It's great for recording material from four cameras onto one tape, for instance.

There aren't many controls on the unit itself because most of the operating is done via the large touch-screen display. Here you can also choose from a selection of effects like picture-in-picture, greenscreen/bluescreen effects, various wipes, and more.
