It's great for recording material from four cameras onto one tape, for instance.

There aren't many controls on the unit itself because most of the operating is done via the large touch-screen display. Here you can also choose from a selection of effects like picture-in-picture, greenscreen/bluescreen effects, various wipes, and more. In terms of audio , you've got plenty of connection options to pick from, including TRS, XLR and RCA. Delay, equalizing, compression and reverb are all at your fingertips. The VR-4HD is handy and fast, it's comprehensive and easy to use.
