The Widget series by Neat

The Widget B USB microphone is one of three mics in Neat's Widget series, each of which with a unique design. Even though they differ greatly from each other in appearance, they each house the same capsule and circuitry, all developed by Neat. Boasting a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, a sample rate of 96 kHz and a bit rate of 24 bits, the Widget B is capable of reproducing clear, all-round audio. Its cardioid pickup pattern ensures that the most sound is captured from the front of the mic, and very little is picked up from the sides and back, which means virtually no unwanted background noise.

The complete package

Neat Widget microphones all come with a USB cable, and are also all compatible with both Mac (OS X 10.6 or later) and PC (Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10). The Widget B features a built-in pop filter to minimise the effect of hard tones and audible plosives. It's a desktop microphone with an integrated shock mount to prevent the capturing of any bumps, vibrations, ticks or other handling noises that can naturally occur while working at your desk. Essentially, the Widget B offers everything you need, whether you're a professional or a hobbyist, for easy recordings that sound great.
