Lava Cable TightRope Solder-Free Kit 10 rosso a pipa

Deze kabels zijn storingsvrij en alle verbindingen lukken ook. Ik heb ook de Boss sets geprobeerd maar die verbindingen waren vaak niet in 1 keer goed, bij deze is dat wel zo.
Nadeel: Je kunt de stekkers maar 1 keer monteren, daarna zit de kabel er in vast.
En bij mijn weten kun je geen losse kabel bestellen

Een slim, goed uitgedacht systeem. De investering m.i. meer dan waard.
Heel eenvoudig om zelf te doen. Goed geluid!
De levering van Bax-shop was goed.

Yeah totally agree with previous reviewer. I am wiring a pedal board with 8 sends and returns - 12 pedals on a board. Real Estate is tight. The head of the jack plug is as small as it possibly could be, the supplied cable is incredibly flexible and thin with a solid core. A great combination.



I would recommend buying a cheap continuity checker as the centre core can sometimes bend when pushed in making tip to ground contact. However they are simple to take apart and straighten the centre core. I make one end - check that tip and sleeve isn't connected, then make the other end. I tightened the jack with pliers wrapped in gaffa tape to not damage the sleeve. Checking with the continuity tester all the time. So Push it in, check it, hand tighten, check it, tighten it up, check. Then the other end same process then final check tip to tip and sleeve to sleeve and make sure tip isn't grounded to the sleeve.



The little tool that comes with it isn't perfect but I eventually got the hang of it. Made them all with the tool.



Excellent solderless leads and no tools needed except what is provided and the vital continuity tester - if you soldered your own you would need a tester anyway.

I needed something small for my pedalboard. I'm using a True bypass looper and quite a lot of pedals.



The tightrope kits came up a lot in online discussions but there were so many mixed reviews.



I can tell you these kids are fantastic! You just need to do things properly.



My advice is:



* Watch LOADS of instructional videos before you buy.

* Watch the Lava YouTube channel and/or contact them for reassurance.

* buy a cable tester (just for extra peace of mind)

* buy some long nose pliers for getting the black stuff off!

* The stopping tool is great...BUT It's too tight when it's not been used. Squeeze it open a few times.

*apply no pressure to the cutting tool...just lightly allow it to close onto the cable and twist once.

* when you first get them practice on both ends of the long length of cable.





The design is air tight and every connection I made worked. I made close to 50!!



So to summarise.

Spend time learning how to do it by watching videos and have patience with your first few attempts.



So far I highly recommend.

Not as good as I thought.
When you insert the cable in the jack tip, the inner copper wire slides out from the other end of the cable.
Once loked in place though the cables are good.
Anyway I don;t think it is worth the effort and the money.

Ce pack comprends bien 10 fiches, mais des fiches sans le piston, d'ou le prix me direz-vous.
Certes, l'idée est bonne ,le cable aussi , la mise en place beaucoup moins
Bref, j'ai passé un temps de fou à tout installé et j'ai du recommencer plusieurs fois certains câbles qui fonctionnaient mal.
C'est très compliqué et pourtant des Pedalboard j'en ai monter quelques un.
Bref pour moi c'est un mauvais kit par le fait de son montage trop compliqué, trop fastidieux.
A éviter, les planet waves sont beaucoup mieux et plus simple à mettre en place.

Excellent câble !! Facile d'utilisation, le concept est vraiment génial pour ceux qui n'aiment pas faire les soudures. Le câble n'est ni trop souple ni trop rigide ce qui permet de lui donner la forme et la direction voulu facilement. La taille des fiches jacks optimise la place sur un pedalboard. Attention toutefois lors du montage de bien axer le câbles avec le jack. J'ai du parfois m'y reprendre à deux fois pour bien le connecter sans le tordre.

Excellent produit de LAVA cables, assemblage très simple et plus fiable que les modèle Ultramafic supérieurs. Avec les Tightrope c'est l'âme du câble (un brin dur) qui s'enfiche dans le connecteur du TIP alors que sur les Ultramafic c'est le connecteur du TIP qui dépasse et s'enfonce dans l'âme du câble (en multibrin) mais comme on ne voit pas cette connexion c'est difficile d'être parfaitement axé, ici pas de problème!
Les câbles sont de petit diamètre et de ce fait assez souples, comme pour les George L's (même plus souples que ces derniers encore)
Les fiches jack sont moins petites que pour du kit Ultramafic mais plus petites que les George L's.
Il est important d'avoir une bonne pince coupante pour ne pas écraser le fil mais bien le couper net.
A quand les kit Piston de LAVA Cables??

Zeer handig systeem om zelf patchkabels te maken. Geen verbrande vingers door solderen :-) .

Mijn beide pedalboards zijn er nu mee uitgerust. Netjes!
