The K family cymbals get their name from the man who developed their sound in 19th century Turkey: Kerope Zildjian, and while this hi-hat does belong to that family, it does have a little twist.

Zildjian K/Z 13-inch hi-hat

This 13-inch K/Z hi-hat is something special, indeed. It consists of a medium-weight K Zildjian top and an extra-heavy Z Dyno Beat bottom cymbal. This combination generates a dry, yet musical sound when played with your drum sticks, and a bright, sharp 'chick' when played with the hi-hat pedal. It's a set of hybrid hats that delivers great barks as well, while it still has plenty of stick definition for more intricate patterns.
