The RCF HD 12-A is described by RCF as the ideal speaker for applications requiring high power, where the sound needs to remain pure and clear. With such an impressive history of products by RCF, it's no wonder that they're expanding even more. The HD 12-A has a 600W bi-amp digital amplifier on board, along with a DSP processor, a 12-inch woofer and a 1-inch driver for reproducing the sound. With a maximum SPL of 130 dB, it's one of the most powerful speakers of it kind.

Lightweight components of the HD 12-A

The HD 12-A has a perfect weight/power ratio. With a slight weight of only 16.7 kilograms, it's one of the lightest active speakers there are. But you can still expect impressive power. A maximum SPL of 130 dB can be generated, whereby this speaker is easily and clearly heard, even in noisy surroundings. Furthermore, the HD 12-A is equipped with a built-in 600W digital bi-amp amplifier that delivers 150 watts of highs and 450 watts of lows for optimal efficiency. Moreover, the HD 12-A makes an ideal floor monitor, thanks to its slanted side for easy placement on the podium. And with its brutal power, it ensures that you'll easily be able to hear it over the PA sound! Just like we're used to with RCF, all of the components are made with utmost precision and are always strong and reliable, even with intensive use.

Safety measures for the monitor

The HD 12-A has to endure a lot as a floor monitor or PA speaker, being dragged to countless events to be used and abused. But that's ok, because the HD 12-A can definitely take a beating. It's made of incredibly strong synthetic material for heavy-duty purposes, to withstand the toughest use while always protecting its components. Moreover, the components are also protected at the front with a grille, and sufficient protection is also offered to keep the system from overloading. The built-in limiter of the DSP processor engages mercilessly if overloaded sound comes in, thereby protecting the components against peaking.
