The RCF HD-10A is a powerful two-way active PA speaker with an incredibly powerful amplifier on board. It has a digital 600W bi-amplifier, a DSP processor, and enough power to produce a sound pressure of no less than 129 dB! As you can imagine, that means this speaker can not only be played hard and loud, but that the sound stays pure and tight. The HD 10-A is ideal for mobile use thanks to the lightweight construction and compact size. Moreover, the HD 10-A can also be used as a floor monitor, thanks to its design which features a slanted side, and it can easily be heard over any PA installation!

Components of the HD 10-A speaker

RCF has equipped the HD 10-A with the highest quality components in order to generate a huge sound pressure and a clear sound. Even during intense use this monitor keeps a cool head. The powerful 10-inch woofer performs nicely in the mid-ranges and is supported by a 1-inch driver for the highs, whereby speech is crystal clear. Thanks to the carefully designed construction with bass reflex ports, this monitor delivers a good dose of bass, making it easy to set up as a DJ monitor.

The sturdy bi-amp digital amplifier is the driving force behind the HD 10-A. Thanks to the fully digital circuit, it's incredibly energy efficient, but has still remained lightweight. With a weight of only 14 kilograms, it's very compact; you probably won't be able to find another speaker with this combination of power and compact size. In this way, RCF proves once again that they're still among the top ranks of their craft, especially when it comes to mobile applications.

Construction of the monitor/speaker

Floor monitors often get pretty rough treatment. Not only are they frequently pushed to the limit, but they take a lot of physical abuse as well, for example from feet on the grille. The HD 10-A can take it though. Its robust steel grille optimally protects the components, and the sturdy construction ensures that nothing will happen to it during transport. Furthermore, precautions have been taken to ensure the safety of the internal components. This has been insured with the addition of a DSP processor, for example, which processes the incoming signal. Every signal that comes in is fully compressed by the limiter.
