Mackie's Thump12A is the successor to the popular Thump12 and packs 300 more watts of power, bringing it up to a total of 1300 watts. This along with Vita preamplifiers, dynamic bass response is packed in a more robust housing. The sound is delivered by a 12-inch woofer and 1.4-inch titanium dome compression driver. The dynamic bass response ensures plenty of low end and the preamps ensure an optimal signal transfer from the two XLR/TRS combo inputs. For a truly formidable speaker system you could add the larger Thump15A or Thump18S (MKII) subwoofer, depending on just how big you want to go!

Easy to install

The controls on the rear of the Thump12A are easy to pick up and feature a number of clever options. At the top of the control panel, you'll find a button for choosing your desired speaker mode which in turn changes the frequency response so that you'll always have the best sound for your purpose. Thanks to the mix out, linking to another speaker is a simple matter and the digital crossover controls the frequencies while the time alignment ensures that you won't have any problems with phase or timing. There are four recessed handles to make the Thump12A as comfortable to carry as possible and thanks to its design, it can be laid on its side, vertically stacked or even placed on a speaker pole.
