I've been looking for lights that aren't just your typical run-of-the-mill ones. This is my second light projector and counting, and it does not disappoint. As the name says, it projects kaleidoscopes so if you're looking for geometric, mandala-style patterns, this is the light for you. I was going to get the Equinox Kaleido but then I came across this one last-minute, and another reviewer mentioned that it is basically identical. It's cheaper too; at the time of writibg this at least.

Speaking of which, as I write this, I have it on while listening to some tunes, and it sets the mood perfectly. It's mainly for home use, but I hope to break it out for a gig or party at some point. The kaleidoscope visuals will make it appropriate for some uses more than others, for example, I can't see this boding well at your average white wedding, but it's missing from your inventory if you're playing anything deep, psychedelic, or hypnotic, and you need to bring a live set or music video to life. It could also work well in your venue, or as part of an art installation.

It's a bit noisy and you do hear the fan whirring away, but you wouldn't hear that over a PA system. Apart from that, I'm really happy with it.

These are fantastic and are a direct replica of the equinox kaleido XP.
They are identical in every way.

I ran these along side the kaleido xp and they are the same.

Makes a change from what everyone else uses and have a really nice 70’s oil wheel kaleidoscope effect.

I just run these on a medium slow rotation as I’ve stopped using dmx. They are super bright and I love them.

Ik heb dit apparaat nu een weekje gebruikt. De lamp is 100 W waardoor je een flinke oppervlakte kunt uitlichten. In de woonkamer is dat soms wat overweldigend maar je kunt de lichtsterkte dimmen wat erg handig is. Je kunt het effect snel en dynamisch afstellen maar ook heel traag en vloeiend om een dromerige sfeer te creeren. Het is wel belangrijk om de handleiding erbij te nemen. Die is duidelijk en correct geschreven. Het geluidsniveau is stil. Kleuren en beelden vind ik mooi en haarscherp dank zij de instelbare focus. Het toestel reageert ook correct op muziek wat de inzetbaarheid vergroot. Dit is zonder meer een erg bruikbaar toestel waar ik als licht Dj heel tevreden over ben.
