The German ENGL company is known for creating heavy-duty amplifiers that offer a ditto sound. Now, however, they've also released a line of great effects pedals, including this Chorus pedal. The first thing you'll probably notice is the resemblance to pedals made by the Russian Yerasov company. There's a good reason for that, though, as they've collaborated with ENGL in creating these stomp boxes. As such, they feature a similar layout: three rotary knobs, a switch and a foot switch. Other than that, the design has been kept nice and clean, with a blue burst background and two triangles to show where the input and output are.

Gentle chorus as well as vibrato effect

The ENGL Chorus has three control knobs: Speed, Depth and Detune. The first controls the amount of chorus, while the second one essentially controls the mix. If you open it up all the way, you'll have a heavy sound with very few clean tones in there. The last control, however, is especially cool: it allows you to adjust the pedal's sound from a nice musical tone to an almost crow-like cacophony when you turn it up all the way. Finally, when you toggle the switch on the right to 'vibr', you'll have a vibrato effect that uses the same knobs to alter its sound.
