Leaning into the creative power of experimentation, Catalinbread present the Tremolo 8: a slimline stompbox that houses a whopping eight tremolo modes that range from subtle warping waves to extreme stutters. This is the result of a pleasure-project that started with playing around with a digitised model of the harmonic vibrato first made famous by the Fender Showman amp. By giving the LFOs a completely different sound, the team almost stumbled on the Tremolo 8 circuit, which is able to spit extreme sawtooth or square waves to shape stuttering and reversed effects just as easily as it can pump trem modulation through a chorus. The Catalinbread Tremolo 8 pedal is essentially a tremolo-based chemistry set, and while it sounds great when run on a standard 9V power supply, by hooking up an 18V supply, you gain even more output and some extra headroom.
