Il Roland AIRA Compact T-8 combina le classiche batterie TR (808/909/606) con una sezione di basso in stile TB, permettendoti di creare istantaneamente ritmi serrati e linee acid su sei tracce di batteria e una traccia di basso, il tutto completato da pratici controller ed effetti. Aggiungici il Roland AIRA Compact S-1 Tweak Synth e otterrai un sintetizzatore ACB a 4 voci flessibile per lead, stabs e pad, con la possibilità di disegnare le tue forme d’onda personalizzate e la funzione D‑Motion per una maggiore espressività durante la regolazione. Entrambe le unità sono compatte, alimentate a batteria e facili da sincronizzare con altre apparecchiature. Include due custodie protettive e due cavi audio per un trasporto sicuro e un collegamento immediato.

What this little synth produces,....is Beyond Amazing.
I love the tilting Gyro effects (Fwd, Back, L & R) it's a clever touch.
It's a hobby 4me & literally a painkiller which keeps my mind
busy, With happiness and joy being the only side effects.
I'm blown away what is packed into this little rectangular box,
which is one of my favourite synthesizers. I can put it in my
wheelchairs pocket and keep myself busy anyway and have fun at the same time.
I am nearly 6 decades new (I say new because my mind still feels new)
And I am still learning and I love it. Because of my disabilities and health I can't work anymore,
So this little synthesiser is literally my medicine. There is no better medicine than music and laughter.
Charlie Chaplin once said: A Day Without Laughter, Is A Day Wasted.

Leuke synth, veel waar voor je geld. Hoewel de sounds heel basic zijn kan je genoeg tweaken om elke keer een andere sound(set) te krijgen.
Snel een beat maken gaat heel makkelijk.
Twee nadelen:
1. De matige mini jack output, die minder gebalanceerd lijkt dan de overige Aira Compact modellen.
2. 32 step sequencer ipv 64 zoals de J-6 en de S-1
Hierdoor ben je vooral in de bass-track gelimiteerd, en worden de beats die je met de Aira Compact series maakt minder interessant.
Maar WAT EEN SOUND uit zo’n klein machientje…

Leuk dingetje, kan er toffe geluiden uitkrijgen voor zo’n klein apparaat. Erg leuk om mee te nemen op reis. Ik heb m in combinatie met de Roland t-8 wat n mooie combo is.
Toch vind ik dat er weinig pre-loopjes/geluiden opzitten (16) en vindt de arpeggio modes ook best beperkt. Maar toch voor zo’n klein apparaat net n kleine prijs best grote blij ;)

Roland AIRA Compact S-1 Tweak Synth
Wat een geweldig apparaat. Ik heb hem nu 1 maand en ontdek nog dagelijks nieuwe mogelijkheden.
Het geluid is fenomenaal voor zo'n klein apparaat. Zeer tevreden ook over de handleiding. De 64-stappen sequencer in 4 banken van 16 patronen maken het een enorm krachtige werk/synthesizer. Dat ook de instelling van de knoppen en de bewegingssensor kunnen worden opgenomen is echt bijzonder. Het formaat is net handzaam genoeg om niet te klein te zijn voor de vingers, en heerlijk compact om op reis mee te nemen. Ook gebruiken on/the/road is heerlijk dankzij de accu. Dat r geen vaste voeding nodig is is een enorme plus voor mij, want ik maak soms lange busritten. Zeer tevreden!

Een veelzijdig apparaat. Zeer compact en een kwaliteitsproduct van Roland. Na een week nog steeds een goed gevoel. Al zoekend proberen met dank aan de duidelijke handleiding maar vooral ook de tutorials op YouTube. Een betaalbare start-synth, ideaal voor een eerste kennismaking. Deze S-1 blijft in mijn collectie, heeft een eigen klankkleur en eenvoud in bediening. Prima aanschaf. Sterkste punt is naar mijn idee de live-functie, op basis van vast patroon (tot 64 steps) met diverse filters, tempowisselingen, effect-opties en beweging-sensors verrassende sounddesigns. Opnamen gedaan m.b.v. Audicity, werkt perfect en daardoor nog veel meer te ontdekken met de standaard effecten en plug-ins / VST's. Ook midi aan boord. Door deze ervaring is op termijn de volgende stap een rijkere klankproductie zoals bijvoorbeeld de Polyend GrooveBox.

Hele goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Geluid is heel goed en er zijn meer dan genoeg opties om je te vermaken. Sommige instellingen zitten verstopt achter wat menu scrollen maar dat is te verwachten in zo'n kleine maat. Toetsenbord is nogal klein om echt op te spelen dus een midi keyboard is wel een aanrader. Maar je kan het gewoon meenemen in je tas en overal spelen zonder stroom. Je hebt alleen een koptelefoon nodig.
Dit is de grootste reden dat ik zelf voor deze heb gekozen. Voor hobby synth is hij perfect voor mij.

Roland AIRA Compact S-1 Tweak Synth
Kwalitatief goede apparatuur, ook leuk voor wie als hobbyist (zoals ik) van software instruments overstapt op de fysieke synth. Levert mooie geluidskwaliteit.
Absoluut voordeel is dat mijn midikeyboard van Nektar probleemloos aansloot (wel even de juiste channel instellen op je S-1) en ook opnemen in DAW ging eigenlijk meteen perfect.
Nadeel is het formaat. Dit kan een voordeel zijn wanneer je er veel mee reist of een klein bureau hebt, maar de knopjes zijn daardoor ook allemaal wat aan de krappe kant. Was de S-1 een slagje groter geweest, dan had ik daar een paar tientjes extra ook voor over gehad.
Ook zijn de menu's voor mij als relatieve beginner niet meteen overzichtelijk en is de handleiding erbij wel vereist. Maar dat laatste is tegelijk ook weer een voordeel: het tekent de grote hoeveelheid mogelijkheden die in dit apparaatje gestopt zijn.
Alles bij elkaar zeker een aanrader, kwaliteit-prijs verhouding is top.

Great little synth. Amazing what they can fit in for the price. Really lovely sounds and to play around with but takes some menu diving. I'm sat here now like a man of a certain age with a coffee and the manual trying to work out how it all works! I'm a YouTube video would be better.
