Inspired by the Box of Rock that was specially made for J Mascis from Dinosaur Jr, the Z.Vex Double Rock is twice as intense and more than stacked distortion alone! Next to the fact that both channels can be used independently, each channel offers up the choice between Distortion-based distortion or a powerfully clean boost as provided by the Super Hard-On. No matter your style, this stompbox is amazingly energy-efficient.
The Double Rock: Double Distortion and/or Boost
With the Z.Vex Double Rock, you can effortlessly double-boost your signal, multiply the distortion effect or combine boost and distortion at will. The Distortron sounds like a Marshall JTM45 amp turned up to 11, while the Super Hard-On boosts the signal with such transparency that no one will even realise there's a pedal at play. In Distortron Mode, the Subs control can be used to the dial in the bass, while the Tone control reigns in the trebles.

The founder of Z-Vex Effects, Zachary Vex, is no stranger to the land of innovative effect building - in fact he's renowned. By mounting one of these hand-painted stompboxes onto your board, you're joining forces with the many revered guitarists who have done it before you.
