If your board is in need of some authentically British overdrive in stompbox form, the Tonebone Plexitube tube distortion was actually built for you. A high-performance, high-quality Radial effects pedal with fitted with a 12AX7 tube. Two channels to form warm, harmonically rich sound processed by a multi-stage transistor circuit in a solid box. Basically, the Plexitube adds four significant periods of Plexi-style tonal evolution to your pedalboard.

Bones Tonebone Plexitube 12AX7: Flexibility and Sustain

The enormous flexibility of this Radial stompbox can be tweaked to fit pop, metal and all the way through to latin jazz. Both channels come with three voicings. The first channel steers big, tight rhythm tones especially when the Voicing switch is flipped to scoop the mid-frequencies. The second channel is reserved for clear lead parts to which you can add as much sustain as you like.

Levels and Frequencies

Attenuate or accentuate the high-frequencies with the Hi-End switch and step the mid-range from 7 to 12 dB with the Mid Boost. The volume, low, high and drive of both channels can be dialed in while you can take your tone from a modern through to classic guitar sound using the two contour pots - one dedicated to each channel. The Radial Plexitube 12AX7 has two footswitches: the first toggles the channel and the second enables the true-bypass and makes sure this box doesn't add any colour to your clean signal.
