Built by Hamstead Soundworks, the Odyssey Intergalactic Driver takes you on a musical journey through an alien landscape scattered with tasty, analogue tone deposits. At the same time, this overdrive serves as a Swiss army knife on your pedalboard. Slap it on, and deploy clean boosts; turn up the drive for some classic rock; or dial in the distortion for a couple of sonic chunks of modern metal. And we haven't even mentioned the otherworldly, richly-saturated fuzz sounds effects yet.
The Odyssey: Tons of Options, Maximum Usability
Next to intuitive tone controls, Hamstead Soundworks have fitted three mini-switches to the face of the Odyssey. The C-switch toggles through three types of clipping, giving players more control over playing dynamics. Meanwhile, the X-switch controls the boost, where the highest setting, X5, offers masses of headroom - and an extra dose of saturation if needed. Lastly, the third switch decides the order of your signal path, nicely rounding out the ultra-flexible nature of this superb stompbox.
