Behringer GDI21 emulatore di amplificatore per chitarra

Dit is voor mij dé distortion. Ik heb in de afgelopen 35 jaar diverse pedalen gehad, maar deze staat op nummer 1!
En voor de prijs hoef je het niet te laten.

Voor dat bedrag zeg ik KOPEN! Zeker als je versterker ook een Gain heeft (die moet je nog een beetje opendraaien), is de herrie die uit dit bakje komt, indrukwekkend te noemen.

Voor (zeer) zware metalenzijn dit mijn settings: Drive op 90%, Bass 11u, Treble 13u. Level naar behoefte. Amp: British, Mod: Clean, Mic: Center (of Off) en Ground Lift: On. Als je dan nog een beetje Gain erbij doet op je versterker (en misschien wat mid, maar die worden al aardig goed geregeld met het bakje) komt me er een HERRIE uit die ik nooit uit mijn MXR Bare Metal kon krijgen. SLAYER!!!

Ik had hier veel hoop op als beginnende gitarist die veel geluiden wil hebben op z'n gitaar. In de praktijk is dit eigenlijk niet z'n geld waard, dit terwijl -ie toch best goedkoop is. 15 euro waarde max. De geluiden zijn matig in de buurt van wat ze willen emuleren en een hoop geknoei met matige potmeters.

I bought this as I wanted a cost effective option to use in place of carting an amp around on gigs. All my tone comes from a simple pedal board so I just needed something to sit between that and the P.A and take the role of the amp.

Te build quality I found pretty robust - it’s made of solid feeling hard plastic and the controls have a reassuring resistance so they won’t accidentally move and change your settings. The pedal has a lot of tonal options but crucially for me seems pitched more as a drive pedal than a strict amp simulator. All but one of the settings are drive based so my only option was the clean tweed and even then it would begin to drive my clean signal unless the drive control was completely off. The sound I got in the one setting that was useable for my purposes was okay. Not great but not hideous. The pedal has an odd sort of mid range hollowness that was difficult to EQ away on the P.A desk. However, in the context of the mix this was acceptable and for the money I can’t really complain.

If using as a drive pedal - though I’m not sure why anyone would - the sounds are a little brittle and harsh - and again all have that odd EQ voicing. The higher gain tones are smoother but the mid point drive sounds are quite nasty sounding to my ears.

So I wouldn’t really recommend this as a drive pedal as there are other better options - though obviously at a higher price point - and if wanting a simple amp simulator and if budget is an issue I would just about recommend this but in the knowledge that you will likely only find one of the amp models useful in this regard and that you will need to EQ on the desk to voice in the mix.

If this pedal were more expensive I’d look at other options but at this price point it’s worth a punt.

Ik heb een beetje een dubbel gevoel bij dit pedaal.
Voor thuisgebruik is het ideaal, je hebt veel verschillende opties voor verschillend klinkende versterkers en de gain is lang niet slecht.
Als ik met mijn band is de oefenruimte sta is het een ander verhaal.. ik loop constant te pielen aan het pedaal om het geluid in balans te krijgen. Daarnaast zuigt het ook veel geluid weg.

Kortom; prima pedaal voor thuis. Voor het geld zelfs geweldig. Maar voor in een band is het beter om iets meer te betalen voor een goede preamp.

Ik vind dit een geniaal ding. Niet te vergelijken met luxer uitgevoerde modelling pre-amps, maar gezien de prijs een kastje dat je altijd in de buurt kunt hebben om even iets op te nemen, in de oefenruimte voor een solid state versterker te zetten en toch een Marshall of Mesa geluid te hebben (enigszins dan).

Dat is het: drie versterkersmodellen van clean (fender) via Marshall achtig naar Mesa achtig. Hoe realistisch het geluid is hangt heel erg van je instellingen af, maar na een half uurtje alle settings proberen viel me op dat er behoorlijk veel mogelijk is.

Naast ducttape en tiewraps voor dit geld gewoon doen.
