The educational version of Ableton Live 9 Standard consists of the same software as the regular Standard version, but it costs 40% less than the regular price. The DAW package can be installed in a number of different languages, and this particular one comes with a German user manual.

Live 9 Standard EDU German: workflow

Ableton Live 9 Standard sets itself apart from most software sequencers because it focuses on high-level composition, meaning that you combine audio and MIDI clips on a timeline to create a piece of music. Not only is this workflow intuitive, but it’s also a very fast way to create full compositions. Audio and MIDI clips are automatically synced to your projects and can be edited and triggered in real time with the use of a controller. That means that Ableton Live 9 Standard EDU (German) is not only ideal for use in the studio, but also in live situations.

The software package

The Standard edition comes with 11 GB worth of samples and loops that cover a variety of genres. The package also comes with a number of fantastic virtual instruments and audio effects. You can automate your parameters in your projects as well, which allows you to adjust the filter positions. This can be done with a mouse, of course, but works most quickly and optimally with an Ableton controller.
