Thanks to innovative technology, these high-grade MDR-Z7 headphones are able to reproduce subtle high frequencies up to 100 kHz. Both exceptionally low bass tones and euphoric trebles are clearly audible. The MDR-Z7s are equipped with 70mm HD drivers with Liquid Crystal Polymer diaphragms, ensuring a consistent, accurate sound within their entire frequency range. Combined with the metal construction of the headphones - which is less prone to resonance than more traditional materials - this guarantees a level of clarity worthy of your favourite hi-resolution audio.
Balanced cord
The MDR-Z7 headphones were made in Japan using top-quality components and the most advanced production techniques. They are fitted with a detachable balanced cord, consisting of four copper wires with a silver coating and separate ground wires (blue and yellow) for each channel. As such, you’re able to enjoy an exceptionally clear, precise sound. A three-metre dual-layer cord has also been included, featuring a copper wire for clear highs and a silver coating for deep bass tones.

( ken per persoon verschillen natuurlijk niet iedereen heeft dezelfde oren )
ze zaten wel lekker maar raad het niet aan voor mensen die snel zweten.
had hiervoor de DT770 80 ohms ook bij baxshop weg ( doet het nog steeds tis een tank niet stuk te krijgen xD )
vond deze beter klinken in de lage frequency's mid frequency's waren er ook en de highs.
had ik niet verwacht ten opzichte van Sony mdr z7 die veel duurder is.
iemand die heldere bass en helder en niet overheersend wil raad ik tog de beyerdynamic dt 770 80 ohms of 250ohms aan.
heb de Sony mdr z7 omgewisseld voor de beyerdynamics 250 ohms stapje omhoog van de 80 ohms
hoop dat iemand er wat aan heeft aan deze review.

Ik heb het gelukkig op de kop kunnen tikken voor 288 euro als een zo goed als nieuw model.
Het is wel een hele goede comfortabele koptelefoon.
Zelfs voor het bedrag wat ik er voor betaald heb, vind ik het nog veel, maar ik ben dan ook een verzamelaar.

Stel, je gaat naar een concert en staat pakweg op een uitstekende plaats, ter hoogte van de mengtafel. Als het goed is dan krijg je een uitstekende sound en de groep die live speelt klinkt megagoed. Dat is ook wat je hoort door deze hoofdtelefoon. Het is extreem goed maar kan ook extreem luid zijn. Met zijn ruim 300 gram lijkt hij ook zwaar maar valt best mee. Alleen hebben ze niet op design gewerkt maar op stevigheid en dat is hij ook. De kabels worden met stalen pluggen in de hoofdtelefoondrivers geschroefd en de kabels zijn echt van staal gemaakt.
Men stelt dat het een hifi-ding is maar daar ben ik het niet mee eens, hij kan in de studio gebruikt worden en ook zelfs voor live-gebruik bij stagetoepassingen. Dus, verwacht geen mooie verpakkingen en franjes maar wel een hoofdtelefoon die buiten de oorkussens en de lederen hoofdband volgens mij een brand overleeft.
Voor hifi-toepassingen is hij iets te duur en iets te goed, voor professionele doeleinden zoals radio, studiowerke n zelfs televisie is hij uitstekend. Je betaalt vooral de sublieme klankkleur en de stevigheid en dus niet het design.
