Characteristics of the K167 headphones
The brand-new K167 are equipped with synthetic heavy 40 mm drivers, that allow high frequencies to come into their own, even at high volumes. From sparkling highs to solid lows: the wide frequency range lets you hear everything, just like we are used to with AKG headphones. In the DJ booth, at home or during a noisy recording the K167 shield you from unwanted ambient noises, thanks to the circumaural earpieces that seal your ears off.
Light, compact and durable
The glass-fibre reinforced polymer construction ensures a low weight and offers great solidity. The 3D-Axis folding mechanism ensures that the headphones always feel comfortable, but it also allows you to turn them into a compact unit which is easy to transport. Ideal for on-the-road use This is the way Tiesto prefers his headphones. They come with a gold-plated 3.5 mm connector and a 6.3 mm jack which can be screwed on.

Na verschillende koptelefoon te hebben getest samen met een andere DJ, hebben we beide besloten deze koptelefoon te kopen. Dit om de volgende redenen:
+ Extreem licht
+ Goed geluid, zeker voor bij het draaien
+ Sluit erg goed af en zit geweldig
Over de sterkte, aangezien bijna alles plastic is, twijfelden we. Bax-shop meldde echter in de beschrijving dat deze licht maar erg stevig zou moeten zijn. Helaas is na een jaar bij mij één van de oorschelpen plotseling afgebroken tijdens het draaien. Koptelefoon direct opgestuurd voor reparatie. De andere K167 van de andere DJ is vannacht ook kapotgegaan, zelfde probleem maar bij hem zelfs aan beide schelpen. Internet meldt na zoeken ook veel problemen hierover.
Dikke min dus voor de stevigheid op het punt waar dit het meeste moet: het punt waar de oorschelp vastzit en moet draaien.
- Niet gemaakt om mee te draaien, niet stevig
Al met al een koptelefoon die van 5 naar 3 tot mogelijk 2 sterren is gegaan door de slechte stevigheid. Voor DJ's dus helaas geen aanrader.

Oorschelpen sluiten niet goed af en is niet aan te raden voor brildragers
breekt makkelijk in 2 tijdens het draaien!
mijn Denon DNHP500 doet het al 7 jaar, deze is de 2de in 2 maanden!
