The GHS M3050-5 Bass Precision Flats medium-tension strings have been designed to deliver that traditionally percussive flat-wound string sound alongside pure yet mellow tone. This pack of long-life strings is suitable for beginners as well as professionals and compatible with long-scale 5-string bass guitars in standard tuning (B-E-A-D-G). Individual string gauges: .045, .065, .085, .105, .126.

Zojuist gemonteerd, speelt lekker, klinkt goed. Kan nog niet verder beoordelen, kan nog niets zeggen over hoe lang de snaren lekker blijven klinken.
Het kostte veel moeite om redelijk geprijsde snaren te vinden.
Voorheen had ik de Fender 90505L, maar die worden uitsluitend geleverd met 4 snaren.

Ik heb een Fazley FMB5718NT 5-snarige elektrische basgitaar speciaal gekocht om deze als reserve basgitaar bij optredens te gebruiken. En aangezien ik fretloos speel, heb ik de basgitaar fretloos gemaakt en er GHS M3050-5 Bass Precision Flats op gezet.
Ik speel vooral oudere melodieuze uptempo popmuziek.
Deze snaren voldoen beslist aan de eisen die ik aan betreffende gitaar stel.
Ik ga één deze dagen ook een set op mijn 1e gitaar zetten.
Oh ja voor dat ik het vergeet, ik ben leraar basgitaar.
Ik speel vooral oudere melodieuze uptempo popmuziek.
Deze snaren voldoen beslist aan de eisen die ik aan betreffende gitaar stel.

Deze snaren gekocht omdat ik sinds kort fan ben van flatwounds, en het setje wat ik op mijn vier-snarige bas heb (Daddario ECB 81) voor een vijf-snarige bas in verhouding erg prijzig vond. Wat betreft de klank is het lastig vergelijken (twee totaal verschillende bas gitaren) maar je ziet er wel vanaf dat het goedkope snaren zijn: ze zijn niet zo netjes gewikkeld. Na ongeveer een maand durf ik over duurzaamheid nog geen uitspraak te doen. Ik denk dat ik de volgende keer weer voor de Daddario snaren ga.

Als je old school jazz, blues of rock wilt maken, kan je deze snaren overwegen. Er zit veel laag in, en heel veel 'thumb'. Er zit weinig hoog en definitie in, dat maken de snaren mijns inziens ongeschikt voor agressievere muziekstijlen. In bandformatie kan ik met deze snaren geen ruimte vinden tussen de gitaristen (beiden met distortion). Ze doen niet veel goeds voor mn bas met humbuckers, maar geven juist mijn bas met moderne, sterile soapbars wat meer karakter. Kortom, niet geschikt voor elke bas en ook niet voor elke stijl.

nice feel to these strings after the round wounds, which came with the guitar.
please note the length of this set 36.5inches the 4 string set are 38 inches.
i had to contact BAX to help with an error i made, as i thought the 4 and 5 string set would be the same length. on visiting the GHS site one finds the difference. BAX were very helpful.
i am inexperienced with bass strings so as a beginner cannot offer a fully rounded opinion.
i have three light roundwounds and three heavy flatwounds so twang and thump together.
