The RME ADI-2 Pro FS R is a high-end AD/DA converter offering a sample rate of up to 768 KHz, making it perfectly suited for DSD streaming. Among the connectors, you'll find AES/EBU I/O, S/PDIF I/O and, of course, analogue I/O.

Features of ADI-2 PRO FS R

The ADI-2 PRO FS R is the heart of any mixing and mastering studio and because RME know some audio engineers can be a little, let's say, exact, they've ensured the converter can be integrated into every set-up in countless ways. If you tend to work entirely 'in-the-box', you can hook the device up to your PC or Mac via USB, while a Lightning or micro-USB adapter can be used to playback high-resolution music from a smartphone or tablet. Maybe you've already got an audio interface you're quite happy with. In that case, you can use the ADI-2 Pro FS R as a high-performance DAC for the master bus and, in a hybrid set-up with analogue summing, the stereo output on your summing mixer can be digitalised using the analogue input on the ADI-2.

High-End Headphone Amplifier

Since it's equipped with two powerful amplifiers that can be merged into a single balanced stereo headphone output, premium high-impedance headphones are fully accommodated by the ADI-2 Pro. There's an S/PDIF connector on-board to effortlessly add this AD/DA converter to a Hi-Fi set-up and, as a final note, demanding music professionals (and amateurs alike) will appreciate the fact that RME have conveniently included a remote control.
