Marshall's DSL40CR is a 40-watt tube guitar amplifier combo from the DSL series. It has a classic gain channel that offers a more traditional guitar sound, while the ultra gain channel is more modern. It's easy to switch between them using the included foot pedal. Each channel also has two different modes giving you four different sounds in all. The DSL40CR is equipped with three ECC83 preamp tubes with another in the power amp along with two EL34s. When you don't need the full 40 watts, you can easily change it to 20 watts by using the output switch.

DSL40CR: Celestion V-Type speaker and five speaker outputs

The single 12-inch Celestion V-Type 80 speaker is flexible and produces an exceptional tone that's perfect for both channels. There are 5 speaker outputs on board too giving you the option to add 4, 8 or 16 ohm speakers as well. There's also an emulated out with cabinet simulation which means you can enjoy the same great sound when you connect the amp directly to equipment like a mixer or an audio interface.

Two master volumes, 3-band EQ and MIDI compatible

The DSL40CR has two master volume controls on board to give your sound an extra boost when you really want it to stand out. Each channel has its own gain, volume and reverb controls, while they share a 3-band EQ and controls for presence and resonance. You can also get scooped mids by using the Tone Shift button. External effects can be added via the FX loop and there's also a line/MP3 input as well as a MIDI input which means you can control this amp using any MIDI equipment too.
