Fantastic bit of kit - sounds great pretty much however you set it up! Love the attenuator too, as it makes the amp playable at home

To find an amp with such fantastic tone, power and is also great with pedals, that weighs less than the guitar i play through it, is unbelievable. I’ve never been fortunate enough to use a deluxe reverb tube amp so I can’t compare the 2 but there’s plenty of people out there that have. I DI into our PA and use IEM’s our sound engineer is very happy with the results 👍🎸

OK, is this as good as a Deluxe Reverb valve(tube)amp? Answer: very nearly.
You will not believe how light in weight this is. Being solid state, built with a pine cabinet and sporting a neodymium speaker (more about the speaker to follow) the total weight is just over 10kg, perfect for those like me who can't cope with the heavy weight of traditional valve amps any more.
I found the sound through the speaker to be a bit muddy and indistinct, but still not too bad. I would guess that changing the speaker would help and it would still be no heavier than a Blues Junior. Using the balanced line out into a mixer gave the exact sound I was looking for.
The back panel has an attenuator so that you can select the output power from 6 settings, useful for home use and different sized venues. There is also a standby switch for silent recording or no backline sound on stage. There is no speaker socket, the speaker being hard wired so no alternate or auxiliary speaker can be used without a bit of no doubt warranty-cancelling surgery.
The internal "firmware" can be easily upgraded by means of a mini USB port but Fender don't supply a suitable cable which is a bit mean. Lucky that I already had one. The upgrade process was easy enough using a laptop with USB port.
This product is made in China, but don't let that put you off, so are some Volvo cars! It is solidly built with proper metal shafts on all the pots, unlike some of the other cheaper Chinese offerings from Fender with their plastic shafts. The cabinet is well-finished and certainly looks the part. The Tone Master badge on the lower front looks like it can be removed easily if you want people to think you have coughed up a ridiculous amount of money for the "real thing".
Being solid state, the output is rated as !00 watts, which is supposed to be the equivalent of a the valve version's 22 watts, but either way, it's LOUD!
Plus points:
Classic Fender looks and sounds
Amazing light weight
Dust Cover Included
Works on any AC voltage from 100 to 240v
Footswitch for Reverb & Vibrato included
Excellent balanced emulated line out with volume control
Attenuator
Minus points
Stock speaker is disappointing
No speaker out socket(s)
USB cable not included
If I lost this one, would I buy another the same? YES, DEFINITELY!

I can't believe it's not a tube amp. Wow.
