The mighty 15-inch Bugera BXD15A bass combo puts 700 Watts of rich, detailed, and life-giving power behind your tone. This stage-ready amp provides a full set of precise tone controls and a built-in dynamic processor, while a DI output has been fitted around the back for direct connection to a front-of-house system or audio interface. An FX loop has also been provided for hooking through pedals.

The Sound of the BXD15A

The formidable power of the Bugera BXD15A is shaped in part by a MOSFET transistor preamp, and since it shares pretty much all its features with a tube amplifier, this combo is able to offer the same tube-based dynamic range. This Class-D amp is able to push a gigantic 700 Watts worth of full-force with such high efficiency that there's no need for huge power supplies or heat sinks. This also has the welcome benefit of an amp with tighter dimensions and a lighter weight - making the BXD15A much less painful to take on the road. The British-developed 15-inch TURBOSOUND woofer, meanwhile, comes supported by an aluminium cone and shapes a satisfying, gut-punching attack.

Tonal Flexibility

The control panel of this two-channel beast is lined with a three-band EQ as well as an Ultra Low and Ultra High EQ switch to inject that little bit extra. An optical compressor has also been built-in and has been based on the classic and renowned compression found in studios in the '70s. Engage it, and you get more fullness and thickness in your tone; the sustain is lengthened, and any hard signal peaks are thankfully eliminated. What's just as special is the addition of Bugera's own DYNAMIZER tech that, via parallel compression, intelligently ensures that every nuance of your playing is given full presence.
