The handmade Yamaha LJ36 ARE builds on 40 years of series history and offers an impressive dose of musical quality The LJ body is medium jumbo-sized and developed for optimal playing comfort while seated. Only solid wood was used for the body, which provides solid sound quality that you won't get from laminated wood. High-quality Engelmann spruce was used for the top for a crystal clear, powerful sound, and rosewood was used for the sides and back, resulting in outstanding balance so all frequencies come through clearly. An improved interior bracing system gives the bass tones a boost without sacrificing the excellent transparency that this series is known for.

The 5-piece mahogany/rosewood neck has a stable construction that won't easily warp or twist. Its traditional neck profile offers excellent comfort, and a volute gives the attachment point between the neck and headstock added stability. A 20-fret ebony fingerboard offers extra comfort for any playing style, as well as a snappier sound. Acoustic Resonance Enhancement

Yamaha added a big dose of technology to the development of the LJ36. By way of Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, a new piece of Engelmann spruce was enhanced to take on the superior sound characteristics of vintage wood. The ARE process involves mixing up a precise cocktail of temperature, air pressure and moisture in order to change the molecular makeup of the wood. This means that the LL16 ARE comes out of the box with the full, rich tone of a vintage guitar, that you'd typically have to wait for years to develop. This outstanding Yamaha has a great, excellent playability, and comes with a soft case.
