Descrizione

Yamaha's FG/FS series consists of a huge number of steel-string guitars. What makes this FS820 RR stand out is the fact that it's an FS version, which means it's a more compact concert-style guitar with lots of decorative elements. It's a great choice for musicians who have trouble holding the Dreadnought-shaped FG models. Furthermore, the 820 features luxurious mahogany back and sides (for a warmer, stronger sound) en and chic cream-coloured bindings along the body and neck. The letters RR in the name stand for Ruby Red finish on the top.

Construction, finish and sound

About five decades ago, Yamaha released the original FG guitars, which were an instant success. They were built well, finished beautifully and reasonable in price. Now, half a century later, that hasn't changed; in fact, these steel-strings have become even better. They now feature a modern scalloped bracing for better projection of the bass and mid tones, and the slender neck and rolled fret edges ensure better playing comfort. One thing that hasn't changed over the years is the guitar's powerful, resonating solid top.
