The Yamaha FG820 BS has an attractive Brown Sunburst look, a powerful solid spruce top, and mahogany sides and back with luxurious cream-coloured bindings. Yamaha is known for giving their instruments a regular upgrade, as is the case with this FG820. Unlike its predecessor the FG720, this model has a scalloped bracing for enhanced low and mid tones and a slender neck with rolled fret edges for even greater comfort and playability.

An important detail about the FG guitar series is that the top is made of solid spruce that sounds increasingly better with age. Furthermore, it has a warm, resonating mahogany sides and back with cream-coloured bindings along the body and neck.
